The Pennsylvania Republican Party has published a flier asking if support for pro-abortion Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf would take the state back to the days when abortion clinics were not inspectedand abortion doctors like Kermit Gosnell were enabled to commit atrociousness on children and women alike. Wolf is running against Gov. Tom Corbett.
The GOP flier has a picture of Wolf and House Of Horrors abortionist Kermit Gosnell and asks Will Pro-abortion Tom Wolf take us back?
PRO-ABORTION POLITICS WAS THE REASON GOSNELL’s ABORTION CLINIC WAS LEFT UNINSPECTED:
In 1993 after Gov. Tom Ridge, who supports abortion rights, was elected, the state Department of Health stopped inspecting abortion clinics. “Officials concluded that inspections would be ‘putting a barrier up to women’ seeking abortions” and decided “to leave clinics to do as they pleased,” states the report. That practice continued under Gov. Mark Schweiker and Gov. Ed Rendell.
After 1993, the Pennsylvania Department of Health abruptly decided, for political reasons, to stop inspecting abortion clinics at all. According to the Grand Jury Report, the politics in question were not anti-abortion, but pro. With the change of administration from Governor Casey to Governor Ridge, officials concluded that inspections would be “putting a barrier up to women” seeking abortions. Better to leave clinics to do as they pleased, even though, as Gosnell proved, that meant both women and babies would pay.
It was not until after a drug raid in February 2010 at Gosnell’s clinic that the Health Department resumed regular abortion clinic inspections.
What they found inside gave the clinic the name “House of Horrors.”
Only because the FBI was investigating Gosnell for the illegal sale of narcotics was the lid blown off of Gosnell’s shop of horrors. Why? The grand jury report hazards a guess:“Bureaucratic inertia is not exactly news. We understand that. But we think this was something more. We think the reason no one acted is because the women in question were poor and of color, because the victims were infants without identities, and because the subject was the political football of abortion.”

The fliers are causing quite a ruckus with the Wolf campaign and many media outlets.
In an emailed statement, State GOP spokeswoman Megan Sweeney responded to the flier: “During his first days in office, Gov. Tom Corbett took swift and decisive action regarding Kermit Gosnell’s ‘House of Horrors,’ holding state government accountable for its actions while ensuring that such horrific events do not ever occur again. As a vocal pro-abortion candidate, it’s time for Tom Wolf to explain what, if any, of Tom Corbett’s reforms he would support if elected.”
Corbett’s campaign has noted that the flier originated with the state GOP and not his office.
