It looks like Planned Parenthood had a busy summer training young people to advocate for abortion no matter what.
According to the organization’s website, Planned Parenthood facilitated a series called Youth Organizing and Policy Institutes. The purpose of the series was to train activists in engaging in local advocacy efforts and help them make a commitment to move the work of “reproductive rights” and “health care access” forward in their community. They held these weekend training days in Illinois, Colorado, New York, Tennessee, Michigan and Texas.
Now, in preparation for elections, Planned Parenthood has launched a project called “Planned Parenthood Generation.” The project was created to motivate and educate young people in voter engagement. However, the truth of the matter is they are training youth to assist them in electing pro-abortion legislators. Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said, “We are so excited to bring together youth leaders from across the country to fight back against the ongoing attacks on access to health care and reproductive rights.”
This is tragic because some young people have no idea Planned Parenthood is using them to promote their abortion business. The organization keeps up appearances by playing semantic gymnastics and using big-token words like “healthcare” and “reproductive rights.” This language is all over Planned Parenthood’s materials, and their new campaign targeting millennials isn’t any different from the rest. Their goal is simple; they want young people to support their cause so they can continue selling hurting women abortions.
The most pressing question is why does Planned Parenthood have to seep into every area of a society? Isn’t the fact that they are the nation’s largest abortion business enough?
Do they really have to expand their programs to reach youth? The answer is yes because the more youth they train, the more abortion income they will receive.
Planned Parenthood has to lie to young people because groups like Students for Life of America and Live Action expose the truth about their actions. In 2013, Students for Life launched a campaign exposing the abortion giant on college campuses. During their tour of 20 states and 41 universities, Students for Life found that Planned Parenthood is successful because they provide low quality birth control and then steer women toward abortion rather than adoption. Also, Live Action has released numerous videos exposing the organizations support of late abortion, after birth abortion, and their history of performing abortions on minors.
Furthermore, many states hold pro-life youth camps and share the truth about abortion and its effect on families. In Louisiana, Wisconsin, Texas, Oregon, Nevada, Arkansas and Virginia, young people work with the nations leading pro-life experts and learn pro-life apologetics.
The reality is 51% of young people believe abortion should be illegal with few or no exceptions; so of course Planned Parenthood has to expand their reach. America’s young people are helping lead the way to a pro-life future.
