ABC13 is reporting that a baby who was abducted while in her mother’s car has been found safe.

It was one in the morning when Genesis Hailey’s mom pulled into a gas station to buy a coke because she was tired. Genesis was sleeping in her car seat so the mom decided to leave her in the car, locking the doors, but forgetting to lock the driver’s door.
That was all the opportunity needed for a man who is described as an African-American in his late teens to jump in the car and speed away, with Genesis still inside.
Several hours later, Genesis was found near a jogging trail, still strapped to her car seat. Jogger Hong Nguyen saw the baby can called 911 and then stayed with the baby until the police arrived. Genesis was okay besides having suffered some ant bites.
When I watched the story, it sounded like a possible miracle happened. The jogger who found the baby never jogs on that trail, but says she decided to use it that day. Who knows how long the baby would have been alone if Nguyen hadn’t made that decision.
