You Will Pay for a National Shrine to Abortion Unless You Act Now

How would you feel about your daughter or granddaughter taking a school field trip to Washington, D.C., excited to learn about American history, and only being sold “role models” like Planned Parenthood abortion business founder Margaret Sanger?

The pro-life group Concerned Women for America is warning its members about an effort to promote abortion and pro-abortion activists that could be funded with taxpayer dollars. The women’s group tells LifeNews that the proposed National Women’s History Museum “will glorify abortion and fuel the radical feminist movement for decades to come.”

nwhm“How do I know this? As I told Fox News, Concerned Women for America has found that the National Women’s History Museum board is overwhelmingly filled with people who are pro-abortion and leftist in their ideology,” says CWFA president Penny Nance.

Nance says the proposed museum’s website references Margaret Sanger nine times while shutting out pro-lifers — referencing Phyllis Schlafly only once and not mentioning Beverly LaHaye at all. It also highlights abortion activist Sandra Fluke, while ignoring Jeane Kirkpatrick.

What’s worse, Nance says she won’t be surprised if millions of taxpayer funds are eventually funneled to the project.

“If you think this doesn’t affect you, think again. Taxpayers, like you, will eventually foot the bill for this national shrine to abortion,” she explains. “While the National Women’s History Museum claims that it will be privately funded, its true intentions are to follow in the footsteps of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African American History and Culture and the National Museum of the American Indian. These museums respectively received over $50 million and $30 million from American taxpayers.”

Concerned Women for America is urging people to speak out and tell Republican leaders in the House about the concerns with the museum:

Tell them to oppose H.R. 863 until safeguards are added to ensure that this museum will not be paid for with federal funds nor be filled with Left-wing propaganda.
