Frans Hofmeester is a professional filmmaker and video artist from Utrecht, Netherlands. In this video, he filmed his daughter, Lotte, from 0 months to 14-years-old, and then he edited it all together to show his little girl growing up.
“This new Time-Lapse shows Lotte changing from baby to 14 years in four minutes,” he says at his YouTube video. “I filmed my daughter every week, from birth up until she turned 14 years old an then made this time lapse edit.”
Hofmeester adds: “Lotte is my daughter (born on 28-10-1999.) I filmed Lotte every week from the moment she was born. She was changing at such a rapid pace, that I felt the need to document the way she looked, to keep my memories intact. Other people might make a photo book, but I decided to film. The baby blanket, the white background, was a constant factor. Vince was born( on 23-11-2002) when Lotte was three. Of course I started to film him too. Sometimes they did not feel like it. Then I said ‘Just one minute. Tell me about your ball game, did you win?’ That way I stalled them so I could complete the shot. The films became world famous shortly after publication in 2012. They have more than 15 million views on YouTube and Vimeo.”
Lotte turned fourteen in October.
The popular video celebrating life has already received almost 1.3 million views.
