Dr. James Dobson, Founder of Focus on the Family and the host ofFamily Talk with Dr. James Dobson, will be a featured speaker at the March for Life rally in Washington, DC on January 22, 2014.

Dr. Dobson’s son and Family Talk co host Ryan Dobson will also appear at the event to share their message of life and the noble choice of adoption. The Dobsons have earned a following of millions of Christians throughout America — a following they have been building since Dr. Dobson’s founding of Focus on the Family in 1977. What may not be known is their story of Ryan’s adoption.

Adopted as infant by Jim and Shirley Dobson, Ryan is a testimony to what is possible when an unborn child’s right to life is honored and a young woman

chooses life.

“Kids who are adopted are loved beyond anything they’ll ever be able to understand,” says Ryan. “I’m just beginning to understand it.”
“The Dobsons offer a chance for the March for Life message of Noble Adoption to reach every corner of America,‖ says March for Life President Jeanne

Monahan. “Their presence here goes to show the extent of support for life and adoption that there is in America. If we honor and support life we must focus on how we encourage women to make this noble choice to give up a child for adoption. That truly is a love that is beyond understanding.”

Dr. Dobson is one of many employers that have filed lawsuits against the Department of Health and Human Services for mandating that abortion-inducing drugs be included in any insurance plans provided.

“Any government willing to force a family-run Christian ministry to participate in immoral acts under the threat of crippling fines is a government everyone should fear,”says Dobson.

This year will mark the 41st March for Life in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of thousands of people participated in the March in 2013, and crowds are expected to keep growing as young people from around the country participate.

The March for Life in Washington, D.C., began as a small demonstration and rapidly grew to be the largest pro-life event in the world. The peaceful demonstration that has followed on this somber anniversary every year since 1973 is a witness to the truth concerning the greatest human rights
violation of our time, legalized abortion on demand.
