Right to Life of Michigan is continuing its campaign to collect signatures for a statewide ballot initiative that would stop taxpayer funding of abortions.

“The NO Taxes for Abortion Insurance petition drive is a straight-forward legislative initiative to keep our tax dollars and health insurance premiums from paying for abortions as part of health care. Together we will initiate the Abortion Insurance Opt-Out act by collecting signatures,” the group says. “Churches are encouraged to participate. Please circulate petitions after services and other church events.”

“We will continue to circulate petitions in August and September. We promise to let you know when a deadline is set,” RLM adds. “Abortion is not health care and no citizen should be forced to pay for a procedure that destroys innocent human life.”
