There was no shortage of offensive signs carried last week by abortion activists mobbing the Texas legislature to oppose the bill to ban late-term abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
One sign that received significant negative attention this weekend read, “No rape babies.”
That didn’t go over well with Rebecca Kiessling, a pro-life attorney who was conceived in rape and could have been a victim of abortion.
“Photos of pro-abort demonstrators in Texas. Wish I could have talked to this guy,” she said in her post of the photo on Facebook. “This guy just makes me laugh. What’s wrong with rape babies sir?? Are they green with purple dots?????”
“No one else is as demonized and marginalized as children conceived in rape,” she said, adding that the sign should have said, “No rapists.”
Kiessling’s post drew many other similar reactions from people responding:
“Rape babies did nothing wrong. If we do not kill rapists for their crimes, why should the innocent baby get the death penalty.”
“How about no gay babies? Every child a straight child? That doesn’t sound as politically correct does it?”

“If people believe in God I believe that they have a purpose bigger than anyone could imagine. You are living proof that life no matter how conceived is worth so much to the world. Your story is important to end the ignorance of people.”
“I guess the problem with “rape babies” is that they are living, breathing evidence of the rapist’s crime. Of course, criminals want to get rid of the evidence.”
“If rape would stop, there would be no babies conceived by rape. Abortion actually encourages rape b/c it gives the rapist a way out and the freedom to do what he wants.”
