Planned Parenthood Raises Money Opposing Ban on Late-Term Abortions

Just how out of touch is the Planned Parenthood abortion business? It is raising money based on its opposition to a Texas bill that bans late-term abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

From Cecile Richards, the president of the Planned Parenthood abortion business, in a fundraising email to abortion activists:

For the past week, Texans have flooded their state capitol to protest an outrageous new abortion ban. They told deeply moving personal stories, they spoke out passionately. And they were ignored.

Lawmakers forced the bill through the Texas House in a late-night vote. They’re hoping — just like anti-women’s health lawmakers in states across the country — that we’ll give up the fight.

But we won’t — we will never give up on women’s health and rights. Help us stand strong in Texas and nationwide — make a donation to Planned Parenthood Federation of America today and it will be matched, dollar for dollar.

The struggle in Texas reminds me of a lesson I learned a long time ago: getting discouraged doesn’t help.

But that’s just what our opponents want. When they vote, as they did last week, to ban abortion after 20 weeks nationwide. When they interfere with women’s medical decisions in Wisconsin and Ohio, in Texas and Arizona, in state after state. When they slash funding for women’s health programs and for Planned Parenthood health centers.

They want you and me discouraged. They want us overwhelmed and ready to give up, so they can force their agenda on women across the country.

Instead, their relentless attacks should make us more determined. Right now, you can put that determination to work and DOUBLE your power to protect women’s health and rights. Donate to Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and from now until June 30, your donation will be matched dollar for dollar, up to a total match of $100,000.

But Live Action president Lila Rose calls out Planned Parenthood and its extreme agenda — opposing banning abortions up to the point of birth.
