We have been saying for a long time that if America could see abortion, she would end abortion. Those words are proving to be true and we must continue fighting for America to open her eyes. We also need to remember the value and ability of the truth to turn even the most callous hearts to life.
In the Gosnell trial, we saw nine pro-abortion jurors convict an abortionist of murder or killing babies he was hired to kill. At the same time, in our nation’s Capital it is currently legal to kill a baby at any age as long as that baby is killed inside the womb. These babies are the same age as the ones Gosnell was convicted of killing, the only difference is where they are located.
Kermit Gosnell’s attorney now believes it should be illegal to kill a baby after just 16 weeks. Even the man who defended infanticide thinks abortion should be illegal for everyone at some age.
Videos and photos make a difference. We are a culture highly motivated by what we see. We must continue exposing exactly what abortion looks like and America will respond, she is already responding.
Representative Trent Franks says, “The American people are smarter that the abortion industry thinks they are.” I agree with him completely. He also said that our perception is skewed. Most Americans are pro-life, while most Americans believe that most Americans are pro-abortion. We have to keep showing America what abortion looks like and we need to be more educated ourselves in how we can fight to win in this battle for life. Even if we need no more proof, personally to oppose abortion, it is vastly easier to convince opponents of what they can actually see.
Lila Rose has made amazing strides in exactly that endeavor. Because of her, we can see and hear first hand from every day abortionists, legally profiting from bloodshed, exactly what they do when babies are born alive in their presence. They poison, drown, suffocate, snip, choke-murder that child.
Marsha Blackburn has painted a picture with the bill she sponsors to stop tax payer money from going to planned parenthood. Without the accurate picture this bill paints, even pro-life tax payers can carry on funding abortion against their will, completely unaware that it is taking place. She makes the important distinction between federal funds, and actual tax payer contribution.
America must see abortion, on trial, in pictures, in words, on video, and in legislation so that abortion will end in America.
Please pray with me for Trent Franks, Lila Rose, and Marsha Blackburn that God will strengthen them and their endeavor to make abortion seen in America. Pray that their resolve is increased and that they receive encouragement and support from the entire pro-life community and see abundant conversions from the pro-abortion side.
In addition to praying for others to show America, one way that you can help ensure that America sees abortion, is to show them. The front lines of this battle is in your neighborhood, your church, your children’s schools. Do not be afraid to post articles or pictures that expose abortion. Boldly share the truth that you have seen so that others can be set free from this deceptive cloud of death called abortion that hangs over America.
