An abortion practitioner for Planned Parenthood in Delaware is facing charges for misconduct and has surrendered his medical license because of numerous problems. But there is an interesting twist to the story.
A new report on abortion practitioner Timothy Liveright’s shoddy abortion practice at Planned Parenthood contains an interesting insight many moviegoers may not have known. The Planned Parenthood abortionist appeared with actor Ryan Gosling in a 2010 movie called Blue Valentine.
For some, it may not be surprising that Hollywood turned to an abortion practitioner with a long history of problems to play an abortion doctor in a movie.
By his own account, Timothy Liveright has performed about 50,000 abortions across the country over nearly three-plus decades, most recently for Planned Parenthood of Delaware.
He even played an abortion doctor in a 2010 movie starring Hollywood heavyweights Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams.
He returned to Delaware in 2009 after renewing his license, and usually flew every Friday to New Castle County Airport for a day of work at the Wilmington clinic.
It was during this period that he made a brief appearance in the movie, “Blue Valentine,” playing an abortionist. In his one scene, Liveright begins giving the character played by Michelle Williams an abortion, but she decides she doesn’t want to go through with it and leaves the treatment room.
The movie Blue Valentine “centers on a contemporary married couple, charting their evolution over a span of years by cross-cutting between time periods,” according to IMDB.
“Dean Pereira and Cindy Heller Pereira are a young, working class married couple – Dean currently working as a painter, and Cindy working as a nurse in a medical clinic – with a young daughter named Frankie,” it continues. “Despite their relatively tender ages, they are both ravaged by the life they’ve eked out together and by the experiences they’ve had leading into their marriage. Dean, a high school drop out, comes from a broken home, where he never really had a mother figure. He never saw himself getting married or having a family despite falling in love at first sight with Cindy. He doesn’t have any professional ambition beyond his current work – which he enjoys since he feels he can knock off a beer at 8 o’clock in the morning without it affecting his work – although Cindy believes he has so much more potential in life.”
Gosling plays Dean in the movie while Michelle Williams stars as Cindy.
The movie or actors in it were nominated for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe award and many independent and film critic awards.
