Planned Parenthood Pays 14-Year-Olds to Push Black Girls Into Sex, Abortion

Planned Parenthood has developed and/or replicated multiple programs that rely on coercion, in the form of cash payments and other incentives, to lure teens to participate in its anything-goes sex indoctrination programs and research. The programs blatantly target minority students and are being funded with taxpayer dollars.

Planned Parenthood’s latest foray into coercion is surfacing in Florida, where African American teens as young as 14 are paid cash incentives to attend its SIHLE “empowerment” programs. SIHLE is an acronym for Sistas Informing, Healing, Living, and Empowering. In addition to cash, there is music, partying, chatting, and the opportunity to belong to a “family.” To be a part of the family, though, teens must live in targeted zip codes referenced on the website—zip codes 32808, 32811, 32818, 32835 and 32839.

Data on those zip codes paint an overall picture of low-income African American neighborhoods where students have demonstrated low academic performance. It would seem that the millions of dollars could certainly be used to help these students in a very real and needed way by providing educational initiatives that would raise test scores, rather than spending it senselessly on programs to indoctrinate teens into Planned Parenthood’s sick world of disordered sex, contraception, and abortion.

Here is what the data shows:

– Zip code 32808: 81.55 percent of public school students are African American. The total test score
performance of students in this zip code is rated as poor. 73.89 percent of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch program.

– Zip code 32811: 75.96 percent of public school students are African American. The total test score performance of students is below average. 83.6 percent of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch program.

– Zip code 32818 : 78.24 percent of public school students are African American. The total test score performance of students is below average. 50.54 percent of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch program.

– Zip code 32835: 33.38 percent of public school students are African American. The total test score performance of students is average. 50 percent of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch program.

– Zip code 32839: 57.34 percent of public school students are African American. The total test score performance of students is poor. 51.5 percent of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch program.

The SIHLE “empowerment” program’s biggest success, according to the Planned Parenthood website, is “in retaining those who do become part of the program.” In other words, empowering Planned Parenthood to get and keep a hold on these African American teens.

How does Planned Parenthood gain and retain access to these teens? Well, of course there is the money for attending each session, and the parties and other perks mentioned above, used to keep them onboard until they graduate the program. After that, according to Planned Parenthood, there is a promise of belonging. “Graduates are considered part of the sisterhood and frequently stay in touch with SIHLE staff members to get continued advice.”

SIHLE is a part of the Teens Rise! project, funded by the federal government through a teen pregnancy prevention grant. Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando announced the $2.4 million dollar grant on its website. SIHLE seems to be a propulsion entry, as it were, for teens to be swooped up into the confusing world of Planned Parenthood’s “sexpert” advice and the promise of a substitute Planned Parenthood family they can anchor to and rely upon.

According to the Teens Rise! website, the initiative also encompasses “The Safer Sex Intervention (SSI) Teen Health Empowerment Study,” described as “an individualized skills-building program designed with teens in mind! It offers an opportunity for young women, just like yourself, to speak privately and confidentially with a Health Educator (somebody like an older friend or someone you can trust), but who is trained in providing medically-accurate information on sex. Some of the teens like to call them ‘Sexperts’ for short.”

Planned Parenthood in Florida and the federal agency that funds these programs are extremely cozy, as evidenced by the recent announcement that Stephanie A. Marshall, former communications director at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and former aide to Michelle Obama, is taking over the leadership of a Florida PP affiliate, Planned Parenthood of Collier County. Funding for the Teens Rise! program emanates from the Office of Adolescent Health of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

To illustrate how extreme Planned Parenthood of Florida is on abortion, the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates this week sent its lobbyist, Alisa Snow, to testify against a bill that would mandate life-sustaining treatment for infants born alive during the course of attempted abortions. Snow testified on behalf of Planned Parenthood, shocking legislators by saying that the decision about what to do if a child is born alive during an abortion should be left to the woman, her family, and her physician. These Planned Parenthood people who espouse such callousness toward helpless babies are the same ones whose sexperts are paying teens to become members of their “family,” to join their “sisterhood.”

But the coercion is not limited to Florida. STOPP has been reporting for some time on the situation in Oregon where Planned Parenthood is in the schools dangling cash and gifts to recruit students for its TOP program. Benson High School teacher Bill Diss has been placed on administrative leave for his opposition to Planned Parenthood, and will almost certainly be fired.

Mr. Diss reported to STOPP that after asking Planned Parenthood employees to leave his classroom because they did not have proper identification, he was removed from the classroom instead, and forced to sit through a Planned Parenthood presentation the next day. Mr. Diss told STOPP that the Planned Parenthood personnel “were extremely aggressive in obtaining the children’s signatures by promising them all sorts of gifts and cash.”

The TOP program is being spread through five states at over 50 sites, including Benson High in Portland. Benson High is located in the inner city, where 62 percent of the students qualify for free or reduced price lunches and would be particularly vulnerable to the offer of cash incentives.

The program is fueled by a 20 million dollar grant awarded to a coalition of six Planned Parenthood affiliates operating under the name Northwest Coalition for Adolescent Health. The states involved are Montana, Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Alaska.

While Planned Parenthood will apparently stop at nothing to pour its poisonous disinformation into the minds, hearts, and hands of teens across the nation, there is still hope in the face of such coercive tactics. Parents can and must take back the public schools from Planned Parenthood’s professional policy pushers. Jim Sedlak’s book Parent Power!! is available for download free of charge. Read it and begin acting today. STOPP is here to help. You are not alone.

Below is an endorsement we received just this week from Christine Kalmbach of Texas Parents Care and Cy-Fair Parents Care. Christine is working with many other parents in Texas to eliminate Planned Parenthood sex education in the schools.

I cannot thank American Life League and STOPP enough for their passion, their research, and their accuracy when it comes to exposing the agenda and the lies of Planned Parenthood, SIECUS, and their affiliates to harm and corrupt our innocent children. The parents in our community felt alone and ill-equipped to deal with such giants in the abortion and sex ed industry but with ALL and STOPP they gave us valid, accurate, and timely data on these entities. Their extreme agenda has been exposed and everyone needs to know it! I am proud to support this amazing organization and would encourage you to do the same!
