Planned Parenthood Botches Abortion, Tries to Hide Victim

The Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in St. Louis has botched yet another abortion — its fourth recently.

As paramedics tried to place the injured woman in an awaiting ambulance for transport to a local emergency room, Planned Parenthood abortion clinic staffers attempted to conceal her from pro-life advocates documenting the injuries.

Workers at the abortion facility were seen on Saturday struggling to deploy white bed sheets in an effort to hide the fact that a patient was being rushed to an awaiting ambulance for transport. Despite the attempt, pro-life advocate photographed the incident, which was the fourth medical emergency at the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in St. Louis since Thanksgiving, 2012.

Mary Maschmeier, the director of Defenders of the Unborn, emailed LifeNews photos of the botched abortion patient and commented on what happened.

“A short time later on this Saturday Jan. 19, 2013, an ambulance arrived at the abortion mill to transport a Hispanic women to an area hospital at 11:00 a.m.  She was followed by the baby’s father. He was unwilling to talk to us,” she explained. “Since Nov. the day after Thanksgiving three women have been taken to an area hospital.  This is safe and legal procedure?  How many more women will be harmed at this mill before the authorities take action?  As you see in the pictures the woman was covered up.”

“Defenders of the Unborn has been in contact with the Board of Healing Arts and they have decided to take no action at this time.  We will pursue this crime on humanity further.  We ask that you pray for this woman and all the other women that have been injured by abortion, whether it is physical or emotional,” Maschmeier added.

“From 2009 until present 2013 nineteen ambulances were called to this facility.  We are asking for a full investigation into this serious matter,” she continued.

Another pro-life group is also following up on the botched abortions at Planned Parenthood.

“Ambulances are rushing women to emergency rooms from this particular Planned Parenthood abortion clinic at the average rate of about one every two weeks. This is completely unacceptable,” said Cheryl Sullenger, Senior Policy Advisor for Operation Rescue. “We are evaluating our legal options concerning the next step in holding this out-of-control abortion mill accountable for these injuries.”

Operation Rescue recently received a written 911 computer transcript of a previous medical emergency at this same Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on December 26, 2012. That document indicated that a woman had fainted and was “not alert” by the time Planned Parenthood called 911. Such fainting are commonly the result of blood loss after the abortion, according to other incidents documented by Operation Rescue.

Other medical emergencies at the St. Louis Planned Parenthood took place on November 21 and December 1, 2012.

“We cannot sit idly by and watch Planned Parenthood continue to injure women. We plan to alert the authorities and bring public pressure to bear to encourage regulators in Missouri to do their duty and protect women from shoddy procedures that endanger their lives,” said Sullenger.
