Raped and Attacked While Pregnant, Woman Rejects Abortion

You know, it has been 40 years since abortion was legalized on-demand, in all 9 months of pregnancy. We’ve lost an entire generation. The stories contained within Students for Life’s new book, “Courageous: Students Abolishing Abortion in our Lifetime,” are the stories of this generation’s survivors.
Tonight, Monday, January 7th, I hope you will join me; David Bereit, Days for Life; and Jason Jones, producer of Bella and Cresendo for a very special webcast to launch our new book “Courageous.” During this once-in-a-lifetime event, you will hear firsthand from the young people whose stories Phyllis Schlafly said were “gripping” and whose stories will make Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry shake in their boots.
The real reason I wrote this book is because every day our full-time team of 12 is out there on college campuses across the nation, and we hear the most incredible stories from students. Ordinary young people who come from real homes, who have powerful, yet messy, stories.
I think young people tend to get a bad rap sometimes, so we wrote this book to introduce you to some of those incredible young people in this survivor generation that we have the privilege to serve. Those students who have courageously decided to stand up for Life, no matter what it costs them.
Young people like Rebekah.
As a college freshman, Rebekah was abused, manipulated, and raped repeatedly by a “friend.” When she became pregnant as a result of these rapes, her abuser punched her several times in the stomach in an attempt to kill her preborn child. Thankfully, her baby survived the beating and Rebekah was able to escape to her parents’ house with the help of a pro-life friend. All during the pregnancy Rebekah endured harassment from her rapist and his family. Yet despite all this, she chose life and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Her love for him is undeniable and she now says, “When I look into my son’s eyes, I only have love and have only loved him since he was laid on my chest.”

There was one word that kept popping into my head when I heard Rebekah’s story: Courageous. How else to describe Rebekah’s choice of life for her son after all she had been through? Our book celebrates her courage and the courage of many other young people like Rebekah and will inspire you to answer the call to be courageous as well.
Don’t forget to register and tune in tonight at 9:00pm Eastern/6:00pm Pacific to hear more about her story directly from Rebekah as well as the stories of those courageous students whose lives have been affected by pregnancy and abortion. Participants will also receive the chapter of Rebekah’s story for free as well as a 20% off discount code to be used toward the purchase of the book.
