With the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton approaching, I am excited to announce that Students for Life of America is striking back with the release of our 1st book, Courageous: Students Abolishing Abortion in this Lifetime.
To celebrate the launch, David Bereit, 40 Days for Life; Jason Jones, the co-executive producer of the pro-life movie Bella; along with the young people featured in our new book, will join me for the Courageous National Book Release Webcast this Monday, January 7th at 9pm Eastern/6pm Pacific. (Participants can register for and tune in for the live webcast at

Courageous tells the heartwarming stories of young people who have ordinary, messy lives, yet have done extraordinary things. You know the people in this book – they are your classmates, your co-workers, friends, and even family members. They are the heroes who aren’t praised on the front pages of newspapers or during the evening news – yet that is precisely why you must read about their stories.

When you hear the stories told on the webcast and written in the pages of this book, you will understand that, despite forty years and more than 55 million dead, the momentum is on our side. At Students for Life of America, we believe that abolishing abortion in our lifetime is possible. However, it first starts with envisioning and believing in this possibility and working every day to make it a reality. In Courageous, you will meet people in the new pro-life generation who have answered the call to abolish abortion and live it every day.

In this book, you’ll read about Steve, an ordinary guy who just went to a rock concert that changed his world view and ended up facing a recall election as student body president because he refused to back down from his pro-life beliefs. You will read about Melissa, a woman who survived unimaginable abuse at home and ended up living with nuns to escape her father, who forcibly aborted her siblings and had wanted her to succumb to the same fate. You will read about Julia, a girl who knows no fear and reaches out to women every day at abortion facilities, always offering help and the option to choose life. You will read about Amanda and Andrea, courageous birth mothers who placed their babies with adoptive parents. And you will read about Rebekah, a young girl who was raped and courageously chose life for her son.

Please REGISTER NOW for our special live webcast, which will take place Monday, January 7th at 9pm Eastern, to be inspired and equipped with a message that you can share with others as you encourage them to join with us to abolish abortion in our lifetime.
