The president of the Planned Parenthood abortion business is spending Election Day today campaigning for President Barack Obama. Cecile Richards tweeted today that she was working to turn out voters for Obama in Virginia.

“Spending this election day in Richmond, VA going door to door to get out the vote. Have you voted yet? #VoteObama,” Richards said. She provided a photo of her knocking on a voter’s door.

Richards announced last month that she would take time off from running the abortion business to campaign for Obama full time.

Richards, who says her $400,000 taxpayer-funded salary is not an issue, made the announcement in a new web video — saying she is taking “break from her day job” running the abortion business.

“Since day one, President Obama has stood with women. The very first bill he signed was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, allowing us to make sure that women get equal pay to men. And under the Affordable Care Act he’s expanded healthcare coverage to millions of American women,” she said.

“Mitt Romney … is threatening not just to take us back four years, but more than 40 years. He said he’ll do everything he can to overturn Roe v. Wade and, of course, he said that he’s going to get rid of Planned Parenthood, an organization that serves three million patients every single year with affordable healthcare,” Richards adds.
