Obama’s Done Nothing to Stop 54 Million Abortions From Continuing

When we began writing this series of messages outlining reasons to defeat Barack Obama, we said we were choosing the number 54 to commemorate the 54 million unborn babies lost to abortion since the Roe v. Wade decision that Obama supports.

Unfortunately, there are many more reasons to defeat Barack Obama, many ways his policies will expand abortion in the United States and abroad if he is given a second term.

But today, we focus on the 54 million lost children.

Tragically, Obama has done nothing to stop the killing or even to slow the growth in that staggering total. In fact, during his three-plus years in office, more than four million innocent unborn babies have died, needlessly, in abortions.

National Right to Life exists to stop this carnage. We exist to touch the hearts of the American people, to persuade legislators to protect the unborn in our laws, to be a voice where the babies have none.

The National Right to Life Victory Fund is one of the powerful tools we have to accomplish these worthy goals. The NRL Victory Fund works to elect pro-life candidates so you and I will be represented by people who fight for the unborn, who work to save their lives.

You and I deserve to be represented by such people. The American people, most of whom are pro-life according to reliable polls, deserve that. But most important, unborn babies deserve that.

In four years, if I’m sending similar messages, I hope I can write of the lives that were saved by President Mitt Romney’s policies, rather than have to recount how Obama and Joe Biden continued to expand access to abortion for four more years.

For what you’ve done to help us realize that, I thank you. But our work isn’t done. Please make sure you – and all your pro-life friends – vote on Tuesday. Please tell everyone you can between now and then about Romney’s and Paul Ryan’s compassionate views on the life issues and how extreme Barack Obama has been in his support for abortion.

For the 54 million we commemorate, and for the many millions we can yet save, thank you. You are a life-saver!
