An Orlando, Florida abortion clinic continues to offer outlandish deals and discounts on abortions — with one offer consisting of a free abortion along with the purchase of an ultrasound.

One web site indicates the free abortion day saw dozens of women take advantage of the special at the Orlando Women’s Center abortion clinic run by embattled abortion practitioner James Pendergraft.

Although Pendergraft’s web site no longer displays the free abortion offer, the Orlando Women’s Center does have other discounts.

“Abortion Pill Clinic ***For a Limited Time*** Offering the Abortion Pill Procedure Up to $170.00 Off the Regular Price for Patients Who Qualify,” screams one headline. “For a limited time, we are offering the Abortion Pill Procedure up to $170.00 off the regular price for patients between 3 to 14 weeks who qualify.”

The prices are discounted from the $495-$600 prices the abortion facility normally charges.

Why is the Orlando Women’s Center having what appears to be a fire sale on abortions and the dangerous abortion drug? Perhaps because the building that houses the Ocala Women’s Center, at 108 N. Pine Ave., is up for sale. Pendergraft, operator of the Ocala Women’s Center and four other abortion clinics, put the 6,500-square-foot building along North Pine Avenue on the market earlier this month.

As the Ocala Banner newspaper reports, a spokeswoman for the state Health Department said on Friday that Pendergraft’s medical license is current but in a probationary status, meaning he can practice only under certain conditions. State records show he has been sanctioned four times, most recently in 2010, when his license was suspended for a year because of a malpractice complaint.

The Orlando Women’s Center abortion clinic has been offering Sunday discounts since at least last November, when writer Stacy Trasancos profiled them at LifeNews.
