Pro-Lifers Hope Bob Evans Will Stop Backing Planned Parenthood

Life Decisions International president Douglas Scott has been working for decades to get pro-life corporations to stop donating to the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

In March, LDI released its most updated listing of corporations that provide direct donations to Planned Parenthood, which does more than 25 percent of all of the 1.2 million abortions that take place annually in the United States. The companies included such heavy hitters as Advance Publications (magazines such as Bon Appetit, Details, Glamour, GQ, Self, Vanity Fair, and Vogue), Danone (Dannon products), UBS (financial services), and Wyndham (lodging including Baymont, Days Inn, Dream Hotels, Hawthorne, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, Microtel, Night, Ramada, Super 8, Travelodge, TRYP Hotels, Wingate, and Wyndham; eatery: Planet Hollywood).

At least 282 corporations have stopped funding Planned Parenthood since the boycott project began and LDI hopes Bob Evans Farms will become the latest. However, Scott says Bob Evans has been toying with pro-life advocates about whether it will support supporting the abortion company.

“We have been working with Bob Evans Farms in an effort to get the company off the Boycott List,” he said in a recent update. “Unfortunately, it seems they are interested in playing games rather than engaging in serious talks.”

Scott is appealing to pro-life advocates to contact Bob Evans officials.

“We think a little pressure from you will be the key to convincing Bob Evans Farms to take this matter more seriously.  Please contact Bob Evans and express your great displeasure that the company is on The Boycott List published by Life Decisions International,” he said. “Be sure to say that until LDI informs you that Bob Evans has been “cleared,” you will continue to boycott the company and encourage your friends and colleagues to do the same. Please contact Bob Evans even if you have already done so in the past.”

“Please contact the company ASAP. Use as many of the contact methods as possible. There is no reason to limit it to just one,” he said.
