A Texas man who repeatedly raped and impregnated his daughter over a period of 14 years and forced her to have abortions has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for his crimes.

The Weatherford Democrat newspaper did not name of the defendant in order to protect the identify of his victim but the 48-year-old man pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault and won’t be eligible for parole until he has served half of the sentence, according to Assistant District Attorney Jeff Swain.

“We discussed the length of the sentence with the victim and she’s pleased with the result,” Swain said.

The newspaper provides more background on the horrific pattern of sexual abuse and the abortions, but provides no information as to whether the abortion facilities involved ever identified the sexual abuse before doing the abortions on the teen or whether they reported any suspected sexual assaults to authorities.

The abuse dated as far back as early 1997 and was ongoing as of May 2011, when an assault occurred in a vehicle on the hunting grounds of Silverado on the Brazos, according to court records.

The victim apparently came forward in July 2011 because she was concerned her father was going to have access to other young girls and didn’t want the same thing to happen to them, Swain said. The girl was reportedly brought to Texas illegally at the age of 13 and began living with her father in the Silverado on the Brazos community, according to court records.

Her father had her share a room with him, telling her that he could not look at her as his daughter, according to the arrest affidavit. She told authorities he began having sexual intercourse with her.

He forced her to perform oral sex on him, as well as vaginal and anal intercourse, throughout her adolescence and adulthood, she reportedly told investigators. He did so nightly in the beginning, on weekly basis for four years, biweekly when the man began dating his wife, who divorced him shortly after his arrest in July, and whenever the defendant was alone with the victim after she moved out of the house.

When she was around 19 or 20 years old, she became pregnant by the man again and was sent to Mexico to have the pregnancy terminated. When she was 25 years old, she miscarried a third pregnancy by her father. In January 2011, the woman became pregnant again and had an abortion in Dallas.

Abortion centers have a history of continuing the cycle of sexual abuse further by doing abortions on girls without identifying any suspected sexual abuse or assault.

Planned Parenthood has come under heavy criticism in recent years for covering up cases of statutory rape by failing to report abortions done on unborn children of teen girls who have been victimized to authorities and by aiding and assisting alleged sex traffickers in obtaining abortions and other “services” for the women and girls they victimize. That coverup is part of an ongoing Congressional investigation.
