Live Action, Students for Life of America and other pro-life groups took to the steps of the Supreme Court this morning to counter Planned Parenthood’s protest in support of ObamaCare.

The Supreme Court began hearings on ObamaCare yesterday morning and will continue throughout the week and, after tens of thousands of pro-life advocates protested the pro-abortion mandate in Obamacare on Friday, abortion backers are trying to launch their own protests.

Live Action President Lila Rose was on hand to participate.

“The Obama administration wants to force religious groups, companies and universities to purchase insurance coverage of abortifacient drugs that kill. This is our generation’s Roe v. Wade case,” Rose said. “This case has the power to decide if the U.S. Government can force every person, including those of faith and conscience, to fund abortion, contraception, and abortion-causing drugs on demand.”

Planned Parenthood called for people to rally outside of the Supreme Court tomorrow morning “to show their support for women’s health care and health care reform.”

Rose responded, “It’s no surprise that abortion giant Planned Parenthood is holding a rally in front of the Supreme Court tomorrow morning, to show their support for the HHS mandate and abortion-funding ObamaCare. Planned Parenthood and the abortion lobby stand to gain from these anti-life policies, and the religious charities and healthcare groups, forced to pay massive fines if they do not comply with ObamaCare, will be among the many who will lose.”

“Despite Planned Parenthood’s deceptive tactics and aggressive lobbying for tax funded abortion, Americans know that abortion is anything but healthcare. Abortion is a grave human rights abuse against the most vulnerable among us,” Rose added.

Kristan Hawkins, Executive Director of Students for Life of America, also commented on tomorrow’s protest, which also includes 40 Days for Life, Rock for Life.

“Obamacare cannot and will not stand.  Obamacare is this generation’s Roe v. Wade, and this generation must and will not sit on the sidelines and watch tyranny reign,” she said.

“Planned Parenthood is calling for their supporters to rally for Obamacare because they know, once the pro-abortion “health care” mandate is in place, they will be the ones to greatly benefit.  Planned Parenthood is an abortion business and, unfortunately, business will be good for if the Supreme Court allows Obamacare and the resulting HHS/Abortion Drug Mandate to stand.  We will be out there to let the world know that Obamacare and the HHS Mandate are direct attacks on American women,” said Hawkins.
