Pro-Abortion Activists Disrupt Pro-Life Youth Rally

On the eve of the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, hundreds of pro-life youth activists gathered at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Washington, DC, to hear inspirational speakers like Jason Jones (the producer of Bella), Bryan Kemper of Stand True, Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life of America, and Live Action president Lila Rose.

As Bryan rose to address the crowd, a dozen pro-choice activists rose up and started to scream, “pro-life, that’s a lie, you don’t care if women die!” repeatedly, and loudly.

The ordeal lasted but a few minutes.  Barely audible over the screams of the opposition, Lila Rose jumped to the stage podium and began to lead a prayer, encouraging the youth to pray for the angry protesters in our midst.  Some pro-lifers knelt down silently.  Some stood and raised their hands to bless the pro-choicers.  Some began to cry.

Lila peacefully but fervently engaged the crowd in a state of prayer until security finally escorted the abortion-rights advocates out of the hotel.

What the pro-choice advocates missed their chances to hear was the powerful and gripping testimonies of the women (and a man) that have felt first-hand the pain and regret that comes along with abortion.  Kelly Clinger (former backup singer for Britney Spears) and her husband shared their testimony, and Julia Holcomb, ex-fiancé of Steven Tyler, tell the story of her violent enduring of an abortion as a teen.

Nonetheless, those men and women who disrupted the youth rally showed us one thing: we are winning this war on the unborn.  We are making a difference.  The pro-life youth of our nation outnumber those in favor of abortion rights, and our generation will see the end of this barbaric practice and grant social justice to all persons, including the unborn.
