Planned Parenthood Botches Abortion, Sends Woman to Hospital

The Planned Parenthood abortion business has botched the abortion done on a woman and her unborn child in Iowa that has resulted in sending the woman to a local hospital for medical attention.

Local pro-life advocates providing abortion alternatives information to women outside the Planned Parenthood of the Heartland abortion facility in Sioux City, Iowa noted that, at 1:30 p.m. local time yesterday, an ambulance responded to an emergency call from Planned Parenthood. Once it arrived at the abortion clinic, the ambulance transported a patient to a local hospital.

The pro-life advocates at the scene said they recalled seeing the same woman earlier in the day as she entered the abortion center and her medical condition is unknown at this time. Because if privacy laws, pro-life advocates concerned about the condition of the woman could not ascertain it.

Sherill Glassmaker, a pro-life activist who was just leaving a neighboring pregnancy resource center, noticed the ambulance in the parking lot and began taking pictures to document the incident. Glassmaker said a paramedic working for Siouxland Paramedics took time out from his job to approach her and complain about her presence at the abortion facility. During the conversation with her, he confirmed that he was responding to a 911 call for emergency medical assistance.

As she prayed for the well-being of the woman transported to the hospital, a Planned Parenthood’s security guard mocked her and threatened to file charges against her in an obvious effort to intimidate her for documenting the incident.

Operation Rescue officials learned of the botched abortion and informed LifeNews that it believed Nicola Moore, a Massachusetts-based abortion practitioner who flies to the mid-west to do abortions for Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, was believed to be the abortion practitioner on duty at the time of the failed abortion.

Operation Rescue had earlier “outed” Moore as the abortion practitioner paid by Planned Parenthood to come to the Midwest to do abortions because it has had troubles finding local physicians to agree to work at the abortion business.

“According to our investigations, Planned Parenthood of the Heartland has long been engaged in practices that endanger the lives of women. This is yet another reason why Planned Parenthood does not deserve even one cent of our tax dollars,” said Cheryl Sullenger, Senior Policy Advisor for Operation Rescue.

She added, “Women who patronize Planned Parenthood or any other abortion clinic literally risk their lives. We plan to file complaints concerning this incident with the appropriate Iowa oversight agencies in order to protect women from Planned Parenthood’s unscrupulous practices.”

OR and other pro-life groups have also exposed Planned Parenthood of the Heartland’s telemed abortion scheme — which has women getting the abortion drug via a webcam system as opposed to seeing a physician in person for an exam before hand, as recommended by the FDA. Newman describes this process as an “experimental “telemed abortion” scheme, in which dangerous abortion pills are dispensed to women over an Internet connection without the presence of a licensed physician or a physical examination by qualified personnel.”
