In Idaho, Brandi Swindell and local pro-life advocates have opened a new pregnancy center next door to a Planned Parenthood abortion business.

Stanton Healthcare Services has opened to prevent teen pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and to provide women facing an unplanned pregnancy with life-affirming options in an environment that promotes physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

“We believe that all life is created with an intrinsic value. We are motivated to uphold the dignity of women and the lives of their children. Stanton Healthcare provides broad-based services to the women and men experiencing an unexpected pregnancy in an environment that upholds physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Stanton Healthcare Services also promotes sexual integrity and gives assistance to those struggling emotionally or physically from previous abortion or pregnancy loss,” the pregnancy center says in its website.

Swindell talks about the new pregnancy center in a YouTube video:

Jennie Stone of Live Action’s blog gives her impression and thoughts:

Pregnant women now have a compassionate, pro-motherhood alternative to a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Boise, Idaho.  Stanton Healthcare is a non-profit medical center founded by Christian activist Brandi Swindell, and it is now located right next door to the Planned Parenthood abortion center.

Although Planned Parenthood claims to offer choices to women, nearly 98% of Planned Parenthood’s pregnancy services are abortions, which garners them over one-third of their annual clinic revenue.  Hannah Brass, legislative director with Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest, claims “there isn’t one option on the table that I think you could say we don’t provide.” However, the Stanton Healthcare clinic offers pregnant women entirely free services such as pregnancy care, adoption assistance, baby supplies, parenting classes.  Considering only about 2% of Planned Parenthood’s pregnant patients continue their pregnancies, and they certainly do not provide free baby supplies nor parenting classes (so much for the “Parenthood” aspect of the organization), Brass’ statement is completely untrue.  The only pregnancy option the Boise Planned Parenthood directly participates in is abortion.

It’s clear which clinic truly offers real solutions to women facing unexpected pregnancies without monetary motivations, and which one preys off their vulnerability with dollar signs in their eyes.
