Next Tuesday, October 18, tens of thousands of students from thousands of campus around the world will be sacrificing their voice to stand in solidarity with the innocent children whose voices are silenced daily by abortion. Students will be sending a loud and clear message that abortion must end and all innocent human life must be protected from conception to natural death.
The Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity is about sacrifice and that is why it is fitting that this years event is dedicated to Kortney Blythe Gordon and baby Sophy. Kortney was a beacon of light and sacrificed more than anyone can ever imagine in her fight as an abortion abolitionist. Kortney was a friend, a woman of God and one of the strongest voices for life I have ever had the honor to stand with; her presence in this fight will be missed.
Every year tens of thousands of courageous students are willing to take a stand in their schools no matter what anyone says about them. They face teasing, taunting and sometimes people screaming in their face or pushing them around and they still stand true to their commitment to be a voice for life. By taking a vow of silence on this day they create a larger buzz then any words can; they actually are speaking louder in silence then if they talked.
If you are a student we encourage you to go to silentday.org and register to participate in this years event, it is totally free of charge.
If you are an adult who cannot be silent because of work, we ask you to give up something else on Tuesday and spend the day in prayer for these amazing students as they take a stand.
Last year we heard back from 64 girls who canceled their abortions because of the Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity and dozens of kids who changed their hearts and are now pro-life. These are just the ones we have heard back from, we have no idea how many lives were actually saved but we do know that just one live makes this whole day worth the effort.
