Planned Parenthood’s Coverup: Attacking Pro-Life Hero Phill Kline

Phill Kline is a pioneer. In 2007, as Kansas Attorney General, he became the first prosecutor to bring criminal charges against Planned Parenthood anywhere in the country.

That lawsuit — all 107 counts, including 23 felonies, which detail illegal abortions and forged records — is still pending, delayed by brazenly corrupt judges arm-in-arm with the abortion industry.

So Phill Kline earned another “first”. This week, he became the first statewide public official to face ethics complaints before the state’s attorney disciplinary board. Not for any wrongdoing — he’s already been cleared three times by investigators — but simply because he dared to probe the multi-million dollar industry that’s made Kansas the late-term abortion capital of the world.

Kline discovered Planned Parenthood doctors committing illegal late-term abortions in at least 39 cases, with lead abortionist George Tiller failing to report 164 cases of statutory rape. Seeking justice for young girls abused by sexual predators and abused by an abortion mill that blatantly flouted the law, Kline pursued the case.

But as soon as Planned Parenthood caught wind of the charges, they began leveling a personal attack against Kline. Before the lawsuit was even filed, a Kansas Supreme Court justice — a former lawyer with the pro-abortion National Women’s Law Center — called for an ethics investigation of Kline. Three separate entities have evaluated Kline’s actions since then. All concluded Kline did no wrong.

But that wasn’t enough to stop pro-abortion activists. The mission to discredit and destroy an honorable man had only begun. Officials silenced a key witness, barring testimony of a judge who agreed with Kline’s findings. Planned Parenthood poured $2 million into a political campaign to push him out of office. They deflected attention off of their own wrongdoing by accusing the man who shined the light on them of misleading officials and mishandling patient records. They hid information clearing his name, going so far as to literally bury one report in 22,000 pages of other documents for nearly two years! “It is the opinion of these investigators,” that uncovered report read, “that there is not a probable cause to prove Phill Kline violated any of the rules of ethics.”

But the report didn’t say what officials wanted, so they are carrying on with this week’s hearings. “We will argue that Mr. Kline’s strong personal anti-abortion beliefs interfered with his judgment in prosecuting abortion clinics,” the disciplinary administrator said. Yes. Phill Kline is being punished for holding pro-life views.

Phill’s courage to prosecute Planned Parenthood’s crimes is costing him dearly. The abortion industry knows they cannot defend their shady business, so instead they turn to dirty tactics. By persecuting a decent, principled man, Planned Parenthood acts as the schoolyard bully, threatening and intimidating any who dare to hold them accountable. But until abortion mills stop persecuting babies and their mothers, we will not back down and neither will Phill. But we desperately need your help.

Phill joined Life Issues Institute to stop the exploitation and abuse of teens and women by the abortion industry. Now he’s under severe attack and they’re doing everything they can to stop him. We must make sure that Phill’s vital work continues because so much is at risk.
