While Others Protect Women, Planned Parenthood Runs With Scissors

The liberal group MoveOn.org, which brought us online ads comparing President George W. Bush to Adolph Hitler and newspaper ads calling a decorated military general a “traitor,” now is focusing on getting people to rally to the side of abortionists like Planned Parenthood and to defend taxpayer funding and subsidizing of the abortion giant.

Staying true to form of showing the creativity of a dull peanut MoveOn.org relies on that old vile standby of a coat hanger abortion, and no surprise they get a third rate from Hollywood to play a terrified woman.

This accusation that Republicans want women to go back to the day of coat hanger abortions is dated vile rhetoric at its worst.  It has been the pro-life side, regardless of party, that has repeatedly stood up for the woman when it comes to her safety in relation to abortion – be it offering alternatives through pregnancy care centers, offering counseling like with Project Rachel Ministry, helping to expose the inhumanity of abortion giant Planned Parenthood like Live Action has with their expose videos or in trying to ensure that the facilities that perform abortions meet at least minimal health care requirements.

During the early 1990s in Pennsylvania pro-life Governor Bob Casey, a Democrat, partnered with pro-life state legislators like then state legislator Joe Pitts (now a US Congressman) to pass legislation that tried to ensure the woman’s safety if she goes to an abortion facility.  This move was fought tooth and nail by groups like Planned Parenthood and pro-abortion NARAL but the pro-women side prevailed.  Those laws were enforced until the two pro-abortion governors who followed Governor Casey, one Republican and one Democrat, decided to not enforce the laws on the books.  This helped create the monster butcher, Kermit Gosnell, who is now accused of killing at least seven children and two women.  Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams explains how he did this:

[Kermit Gosnell] “induced labor, forced the live birth of viable babies in the sixth, seventh, eighth month of pregnancy and then killed those babies by cutting into the back of the neck with scissors and severing their spinal cord.”

While it hasn’t been proven Kermit Gosnell was directly associated with Planned Parenthood  they spawned the culture that allowed a butcher like Gosnell to operate for years without being reported, even though those sympathetic with abortion knew what was going on.

Now imagine the same commercial above but instead of talking about those mean Republicans it talks about all that Planned Parenthood has done to make sure abortion facilities are less safe and regulated then beauty parlors and then it could read directly from the grand jury report describing in detail Kermit Gosnell’s crimes:

This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors. The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels – and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths. Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it.

And finally, when that door at the end of the hallway opens it is not a hanger you see, but the new symbol of Planned Parenthood: a pair of scissors.
