Madison, WI (LifeNews.com) — Yesterday, Wisconsin Right to Life issued endorsements for Scott Walker and Mark Neumann, the two major Republican candidates for governor. The pro-life group said their pro-life views regarding the protection of innocent human life stand in stark contrast to the pro-abortion position of Tom Barrett.

"Both Scott Walker and Mark Neumann have a deep and abiding respect for the value of human life," said WRTL PAC chair Bonnie Pfaff.

She added, "The election of either of these exceptional candidates would greatly contribute to building a culture of life where the most vulnerable members of the human family are welcomed and protected."

Wisconsin Right to Life legislative director Susan Armacost chimed in and added, "If people care about protecting human life, they shouldn’t vote for Tom Barrett."

"Barrett is a pro-abortion James Doyle re-run – magnified – on right-to-life issues. Barrett voted pro-abortion throughout his entire legislative career including keeping minor girls’ abortions a secret from parents and keeping partial-birth abortions legal. Radical pro-abortion organizations like Planned Parenthood can always rely on Barrett to support its deadly agenda and has given him their enthusiastic endorsement," Armacost continued.

In the Republican primary contest for governor, a new PPP poll shows a close race for governor but not one for the GOP nomination.

Walker leads Neumann 58-19 in the gubernatorial

"He is both better known and a lot better liked than Neumann is. 64% of GOP primary voters have a favorable opinion of him to only 10% with a negative one," the polling firm noted. "There’s considerably more division in how voters feel about Neumann, with 33% rating him positively and 27% saying they see him unfavorably."

The survey showed some 40% of Republicans have not yet formed an opinion about Neumann compared to only 26% who are ambivalent toward Walker.

Walker’s lead is built on overwhelming support from conservative voters. He and Neumann are running basically even among moderates, but Walker has a 65-13 lead with conservatives.

Wisconsin Right to Life has also endorsed pro-life Senate candidate Ron Johnson against incumbent pro-abortion Sen. Russ Feingold, who faces no Democratic primary opposition. https://www.lifenews.com/state5201.html
