You’ve started something incredible — and the power of God continues to shine through! Even though we are between 40 Days for Life campaigns, great news continues to roll in daily.

In Fort Wayne, Indiana, Cathie notes that the number of abortions at the facility where 40 Days for Life vigils are conducted has gone down. WAY down.

Over the past few years, this facility has scheduled around 10 abortions every week. Two weeks ago, the number was three. And last week, the total number of abortions performed was … ONE.

Cathie says there are several factors contributing to the decrease, but "above all we are witnessing the results of consistent and fervent prayer over the years intensifying with the 40 Days for Life campaigns the past two years and the power of Almighty God."

We hope and pray that the number will soon drop to ZERO … and we believe that God will soon answer those prayers.

In Columbia, Missouri, volunteers continue to pray on a weekly basis at a Planned Parenthood facility where 40 Days for Life vigils have taken place.

Last week, they heard the center was overbooked. So they anticipated the worst — they recalled a day in November when around two dozen women arrived for abortions.

But last Thursday, people came to pray — some 50 volunteers throughout the course of the day, including two priests, a deacon and two seminary students.

The number of women with appointments was 13, which was surprisingly low. And of those, one simply left without saying a word … and two told the prayer volunteers that they’d changed their minds and would NOT be having abortions!

One of the prayer participants in Columbia tells of a woman in a parked car who said she wanted to talk. This woman said that months ago, she had her mind set on having an abortion. But three times she arrived for her abortion appointment, and all three times there were people outside praying.

Three times, she turned around and went back home without going in.

Still, she made a fourth appointment.

There were people praying again this time, but she went in anyway. But the Planned Parenthood staff said she was anemic, so they could not do the abortion.

She had never been anemic — ever — but it just seemed that this abortion was NOT meant to happen. Then she said, "I want you to see the joy of my life — my three-week-old baby boy!" She pointed to her baby in the back seat.

"Yes, God is working even when we don’t know it," said Kathy in Columbia. "How many babies are living in the womb — or have been born — because people stood on the sidewalk?"

Some quick math determined that this baby was saved from abortion during last fall’s 40 Days for Life campaign. "A baby saved — and we didn’t even know it!" said Kathy.

The next 40 Days for Life campaign will take place September 22 to October 31. Will your community take part? Are you feeling the call to help lead this effort in your city?

Applications for the next campaign will open next month. Please prayerfully discern the level of your commitment to this crucial, live-saving mission.
