Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — A post-abortion women’s group urges Americans to support pregnancy centers across the country on Mother’s Day. Leaders of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, a network of individuals harmed by abortion, says the centers provide real help for women instead of merely abortions.

The encouragement comes at a time when Planned Parenthood sent out a fundraising email asking for donations for more women to get abortions.

"There is no better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than to help those who actually stand with mothers in their time of need, our nation’s pregnancy resource centers," said Georgette Forney, co-founder of Silent No Moore told LifeNews.com.

She added: "These locally run organizations embody selflessness and sacrifice in helping mothers who weren’t planning on being mothers. They need our support now more than ever."

"Motherhood is under attack from Planned Parenthood, a billion dollar business that never stops trying to increase its profits by increasing abortions," added Janet Morana, also a co-founder of the post-abortion group.

"The work of pregnancy resource centers in the face of the culture of death Planned Parenthood promotes is nothing short of heroic. They deserve our support this Mother’s Day and every day," she said.

It’s a little difficult for people who were victims of abortion to purchase their mother a gift for Mother’s Day this weekend. But Planned Parenthood thought moms want donations made to the abortion business in their name from those lucky enough to not have been aborted themselves.

Cecile Richards, the president of the largest abortion business in the nation, sent out Planned Parenthood’s annual Mother’s Day fundraising missive this week.

"It’s almost Mother’s Day … and if you have a mother in your life who’s anything like me or my mom (the late Texas Governor Ann Richards), then you know nothing would make her happier than a gift that represents bold and compassionate values. Like a gift in her honor to Planned Parenthood Federation of America," she wrote.

We’ve made it quick and easy — and we’ve even made it pretty," Richards added. "Honor a mother in your life with a gift to Planned Parenthood. [It’s] a gift your loved one will appreciate — and remember."

The competing Mother’s Day message come at a time when pregnancy centers are coming under attack from Planned Parenthood and abortion advocates.

Upset that the pregnancy centers are providing women tangible pregnancy help and alternatives, they want them forced to post signs saying they don’t do abortions in an attempt to persuade women to go to Planned Parenthood.

Since the launching of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign in 2003, 3,877 women and men have shared their testimonies publicly at over 572 gatherings in 48 states and ten countries where more than 110,830 attendees have heard the truth about abortion’s negative aftereffects.

Raising awareness about the hurtful aftermath of abortion and the help that is available to cope with the pain are two of the Campaign’s goals.
