Seattle, WA (LifeNews.com) — News of a secret abortion done on a Seattle, Washington teenager without her parents’ knowledge or consent is drawing outrage and condemnation from pro-life advocates. One group that monitors Planned Parenthood says it is not surprised by the news given its expose’s of the abortion business.

As LifeNews.com reported, the mother signed consent forms for her daughter, who attends Ballard High School, that she thought would allow her to go to the clinic for a headache or other minor problems.

Little did she know the clinic would set up a secret abortion resulting in the death of her grandchild.

David Schmidt of Live Action noticed the story and said it reminded him of some of the undercover videos his group has taken.

The videos have shown its staff pretending to be teenager who are victims of sexual abuse. In the video footage, Planned Parenthood employees in nearly a dozen states have encouraged secret abortions and even counseled girls in how to avoid parental involvement laws.

"We know that this commonly happens all across the country, but it is nice to see these disgusting tactics of abortion giants like Planned Parenthood being shown to the public," Schmidt said of the attention the Seattle story is getting.

Schmidt cautions parents in other states to be on their guard for similar problems.

"It also appears that there was nothing done illegally, which means that parents in the 15 states with similar laws, are truly powerless to stop this situation from happening to their family," he said.

"When young people deal with drugs, eating problems, health problems, alcohol, school, and other challenges, parents and children are encouraged to talk and work together. Sadly though, when it comes to pregnancy and abortion, groups like Planned Parenthood have injected themselves into the family and have no problem performing surgical abortions before family members even have the opportunity to talk," he continued.

"In this case, not only did Planned Parenthood willingly provide a secret abortion, they encouraged it by reportedly telling the young girl that her abortion would be free if she didn’t tell her parents. It’s pretty clear, Planned Parenthood has an agenda," he said.

Ed Morrissey, a writer with the conservative Hot Air blog, also opined on the story.

He noticed how the teenager in question is reportedly pro-life while her mother supports abortion.

" I’d question how they got a 15-year-old pro-life advocate to agree to the abortion, except I have a pretty good idea, having lived through a not-dissimilar situation with my daughter-in-law and son during their senior year. I’d bet dollars to donuts that they pressured a frightened and confused adolescent into that decision just when she needed her parents most," he said of the abortion center.

ACTION: Contact the girl’s school and complain about it arranging the secret abortion. Principal Phil Brockman, Ballard High School, 1418 NW 65th Street, Seattle, WA 98117, 206-252-1000 (f) 206-252-1001, [email protected]
