Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — For the majority of Americans who take a pro-life position on abortion, the conclusion of President Barack Obama’s first 100 days is clear — he has unequivocally promoted unlimited abortion. For abortion advocates like NARAL president Nancy Keenan, the "milestone" is a time to "celebrate."

In a commentary "celebrating" the 100th day of the Obama administration, Keenan said pro-abortion Americans should "mark this milestone" of how important it is to elect abortion advocates.

"President Obama is leading our country during an especially challenging time,’ she says and she applauds the "signs of change" that have happened under the Obama administration.

She lauds the president for being a lap-dog for the political interests of abortion advocacy groups by overturning the Mexico City Policy that stopped sending taxpayer dollars to pro-abortion groups that perform and promote abortions overseas.

Keenan praised Obama for funding the UNFPA, which has supported forced abortions in China, taking the first step to overturn Bush administration protections for doctors who don’t want to do abortions, and for signing a budget bill that cuts abstinence education funding.

While she’s excited about the pro-abortion agenda Obama has fulfilled, she urges abortion backers to support Obama in pushing abortion further.

"We have reason to celebrate after reading this list, but let’s not forget that we’re marking the first 100 days of what will be a long and bumpy road to progress. There will be budget debates, a possible vacancy on the Supreme Court, and more," Keenan said.

"We must be Partners for Change to build on the success of the first 100 days–especially because our opposition is going to extreme depths to attack President Obama," the NARAL president claims.

Keenan decried the "right-wing attacks" on pro-abortion Obama nominees Kathleen Sebelius Dawn Johnsen, and Judge David Hamilton.

Sebelius backs late-term abortions, Johnsen has called pregnancy "slavery" and Judge Hamilton denied women information on abortion’s risks and alternatives.

In what can only be described as an admission that the pro-abortion position is losing favor with most Americans, Keenan presented her entire list of Obama’s actions and her effusive commentary without ever using the word abortion.

With polls consistently showing approximately 55 percent of Americans oppose 98 percent of abortions, Keenan talked about Obama’s record in terms of promoting birth control and contraception, which enjoy much greater support than the destruction of unborn children and the injuring of women.
