Pro-Abortion President Barack Obama’s Approval Ratings Drop to New Low

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — New polls show President Barack Obama’s approval ratings have sunk to their lowest point since he took over the White House. For pro-life advocates, Obama’s record has been a compilation of one pro-abortion decision after another from taxpayer funded abortions to pro-abortion personnel.
For the first time since Gallup began tracking Obama’s approval rating, fewer than 60% of Americans approve of the job he is doing as president.
Feb. 21-23 polling, 59% of Americans give Obama a positive review, while 25% say they disapprove, and 16% have no opinion.
That net approval rating of 34 percent is also well off Obama’s high — he started with a net 56 percent positive approval rating. That’s a net drop of 22 percentage points in his approval rating in just over one month since taking over.
Obama has seen his ratings fall because Republican and independent voters are less supportive than they were at the outset of his administration. One month ago a narrow plurality of Republicans approved of the way Obama was handling his job, now a majority of Republicans say they disapprove.
Now, just 27 percent of Republicans and 54 percent of independents approve of the job Obama is doing while 86 percent of Democrats are still supportive.
Other analysis shows that Obama’s approval rating, despite the supposedly convincing win on election night, is below the average of other presidents during their first months in office.
According to ABC News, the average of the approval ratings of each of the last nine elected presidents after their first month in office, back to Dwight Eisenhower, range from 56 percent to 76 percent and the average is 66 percent. That means Obama’s ratings are below average for a new president and only three points ahead of the lowest.
Also, according to its polls, Obama is on the plus side only because of backing from abortion advocates in the Democratic Party. His support from Democrats is nearly 60 points higher than his support from Republicans.
When it comes to abortion, Obama’s main action since winn ing the Oval Office, forcing taxpayers to fund groups that perform and promote abortions in other nations, has turned off most Americans.
Looking at the Gallup poll on the Mexico City Policy, 58 percent of Americans opposed Obama’s pro-abortion decision while just 35 percent supported it and 7 percent had no opinion.
