Video Shows Near Euthanasia Victim Haleigh Poutre Making Amazing Recovery

Boston, MA (LifeNews.com) — Haleigh Poutre was the victim of child abuse and was nearly killed via euthanasia when Massachusetts officials gave up on her after she entered a coma. Now Poutre, once termed "brain dead" by doctors, continues to improve and a new video shows her making amazing progress.
Haleigh’s biological mother, Allison Avrett, lost custody of her daughter after physically abusing her.
Poutre was put into a foster home where her adoptive parents also abused her. Her adopted mother committed suicide after abusing Poutre so much she had to be hospitalized.
The Massachusetts Department of Social Services took Poutre into custody and, when she appeared to slip into a coma, the agency asked the state Supreme Court for permission to take her life. That’s when Poutre began responding.
Poutre has been receiving physical, speech and occupational therapy at Franciscan Hospital for Children in Brighton.
Michelle Malkin, the nationally-respected pro-life syndicated columnist and blogger, has posted a new video of Poutre and talked about her case and the recovery she’s made.
"Almost three years ago, I started blogging about beautiful Haleigh Poutre. She’s the miracle child who was nearly beaten to death by her barbaric stepfather," Malkin writes.
"Hooked to a ventilator in a comatose state, she was then nearly condemned to death by Massachusetts medical experts and the state’s criminally negligent child welfare bureaucracy, which hastily declared her to be in a hopeless vegetative state and wanted to pull the plug on her life," Malkin explains. "Thank God, the campaign to kill her was stopped."
"This blessed angel has been nursed back to health by an amazing team of caring therapists. Her plight brought end-of-life issues again to the fore — issues that so many on both the left and right would prefer to ignore," Malkin writes.
"The stepfather is standing trial now for child abuse. And that trial has produced video of Haleigh’s progress that will bring you to tears," she explains.
"The girl the state of Massachusetts wanted to remove from life support is now writing her name, brushing her own hair, and feeding herself. Watch this, pass it on, and let it be a permanent warning against blind trust in the deadly duo of Big Nanny and Big Medicine," Malkin concludes.
