Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — The pro-life group behind CathoicVote.com knew they had a hit on their hands when they told LifeNews.com in September about the new educational web site. Since its announcement, the web site and its powerful voter education video has attracted over 2.5 million viewers.

The web site has become so popular with pro-life voters looking for information and resources from the Catholic perspective on the election that the site has become more popular than the web sites of major companies like Ford and United Airlines.

The video has attracted the attention of the New York Times and has been aired on EWTN, a Catholic cable station reaching millions of households. CatholicVote.com has also recorded over 50,000 downloads for use in churches, conferences and meetings across the country.

Over 8,000 web sites feature the video.

“I believe the video has attracted so many visitors because the message connects directly with people’s hearts," Brian Burch, president of the pro-life group Fidelis, the web site’s sponsor, told LifeNews.com. "It’s a message of hope that reminds Catholics and all people of faith of the historic nature of what is at stake this November."

“We set out to make a Catholic voter guide for the 21st century, and we have been overwhelmed by the response," Burch added.

"We receive thousands of e-mails every day from Catholics, Evangelicals, Mormons and all people of faith thanking us for the film," he said. "The message of protecting life, faith, and family as the foundational issues in this election is not unique to Catholics. In fact, it need not even be religious – it’s about protecting the soul of America."

“Our goal has been to reach Catholics and all people of faith, of every age, with a powerful message on the importance of voting with a well-formed conscience. The Catholic Bishops have made clear that every Catholic must consider the moral imperative of protecting innocent human life,” said Burch.
