Steamboat Springs, CO (LifeNews.com) — The Routt County United Way in Steamboat Springs, a northern Colorado community, is getting heat because it is raising money to fund 40 charities, one of which is an abortion business. The United Way chapter funds 40 programs for health and human services in Routt County.

That includes Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, which does thousands of abortions annually on women from Colorado and Wyoming.

The UW chapter recently announced its 26th annual campaign that goes until mid November and it hopes to raise $600,000 after bringing in slightly under that amount last year.

The organization may not be able to bring in enough to fund the abortion business at the level it hopes and campaign chair Lynaia South Orr told the Pilot newspaper that a competition for donor dollars has taken place because of the hurricanes striking the southeastern U.S.

"Funding from other places is all taking a hit from the economy. … I think this year is going to be a tremendous test," she said.

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains recently completed a massive new abortion center in Denver, located at East 38th Avenue and Pontiac Street in the suburb of Stapleton, that opened this summer.
During the building process, pro-life advocates complained the building was constructed in secret and without full disclosure to the community or local officials.

Planned Parenthood purchased the land it’s using to build the new abortion center from United Airlines.

During the approval process for starting the building project, Iowa-based contractor Weitz Company listed United as the owner of the property to hide Planned Parenthood’s ownership of the land.

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains does about 8,800 abortions annually on women from Colorado and four surrounding states.
