Oakland, CA (LifeNews.com) — The regional Planned Parenthood abortion business that gave Holly Patterson the RU 486 abortion drug that killed her is opening a new facility in Oakland on Saturday.
A statement from the abortion business said the center would focus on "reproductive health" issues including contraception and sexually transmitted diseases, but it did not say whether abortions would be performed there or if abortion drugs would be distributed. If not, Planned Parenthood will make abortion referrals to its other facilities.
Planned Parenthood Golden Gate also operates an abortion facility in Hayward, California where Holly Patterson received the abortion pills that ultimately led to her death. Several investigations into her death are ongoing.
"It’s always a sad day when a new killing center opens up or a center that feeds young women and girls into the clutches of another abortion facility," Jan Carroll, associate director of the California Pro-Life Council told LifeNews.com.
"Planned Parenthood has for years opposed every attempt in the California Legislature to require rogue clinics to clean up their act and efforts to require true informed consent for women and children considering abortions. They have often done so while bragging about the quality of their services," Carroll added.
Planned Parenthood said the new center will field about 20 percent more clients than the old one. The facility is a newly remodeled version of an older center that first opened in 1955.
