Washington,
DC (LifeNews.com) -- The apparent shooter of late-term abortion
practitioner George Tiller was never
involved in a pro-life group and, by his own actions, wasn't pro-life.
But abortion advocates are quickly taking to calling the majority
of Americans who are pro-life, "terrorists," in the first
day following his death.
Kim Gandy, the head of the pro-abortion National Organization for Women, was the first out of the gate with the pejorative.
"Bringing the killers to justice is not enough the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security must root out and prosecute as domestic terrorists and violent racketeers the criminal enterprise that has organized and funded criminal acts for decades," she said in an unfounded statement.
She went on to say the pro-life movement was guilty of "politically-motivated domestic terrorism" and called on the Obama administration to aggressively target pro-life Americans.
Peter Brownlie, president of Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri, whose group, like Tiller, has been charged with doing illegal abortions, also pulled out the term.
We're not going to let the terrorists win, he told the Kansas City Star newspaper.
Christina Page, one of the top bloggers at the pro-abortion web site RH Reality Check continued the pattern of attacking pro-life people.
"One can only conclude that like terrorist sleeper cells, these extremists have now been set in motion. Indeed the evidence is already there," she claims -- putting pro-life advocate sin league with the 9-11 terrorists.
"The chatter, the threats, the hate-filled rhetoric are abundant," she continued, ignoring her own commentary.
The Huffington Post has written that "Tiller was the subject of assassination attempts, violence, and, by definition, terrorism in the past," Dave Lindorff called pro-life advocates America's "Taliban," and Andrew Sullivan of The Atlantic labeled the death "Christianist terrorism."
Bonnie Erbe, the U.S. News and World Report columnist who has been under fire for celebrating an increase in abortions, titled her blog response, "Tiller Murder Is Terrorism, and All Pro-Life Extremists Are to Blame."
She
said anyone who describes abortion as the killing of babies "ought
to be prosecuted as an accessory to murder, as well as for partaking
in domestic terrorism."
