More Pro-Life Advocates Say Matthew 25 Network Obama Site False on Abortion
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) --
More pro-life advocates are saying the new Pro-Life, Pro-Obama web site from the Democratic activist group Matthew 25 Network, is false when it comes to portraying Barack Obama's abortion views. Ramesh Ponnuru, a writer with National Review, had this to say: "The Matthew 25 Network—a group of left-wing Christians—has a new site up. They take the standard tack of pro-life Obama supporters. They completely ignore his opposition to parental consent, his support for taxpayer funding of abortion, and the like. What they do include is misleading. They quote Obama's Relevant interview, for example, in which he claimed that late-term abortions should be allowed only for serious medical reasons—a remark that made many people, including me, hope that Obama was moderating on the issue and might be willing to tighten existing law. They don't mention that in subsequent 'clarifying' remarks, Obama took back the concession."

Video Available for Pro-Life Groups on Barack Obama's Extreme Abortion Views
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) --
A pro-life group has made a video available for pro-life organizations to use at no cost that highlights the extreme pro-abortion views of Barack Obama. The Committee for Truth in Politics is behind the video and it has no disclaimer and is not copyrighted. "Thus, anyone can use it by linking to it or by downloading it. It is a grassroots lobbying ad which contains no express advocacy. It can be used in various ways by any 501(c)(4) group," pro-life attorney James Bopp explains. "You can use it in any other way, as long as you do not put it on television. It can be posted on your web site and linked in e-mails and other communications to your supporters." Bopp says a federal PAC could put this ad on television, with it disclaimer as required by federal election law. "If your organization is qualifies as an MCFL-type corporation, you could also put it on television, with the appropriate disclaimer and by filing appropriate reports with the FEC." The ad is available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrtOBespwYg

Louisiana Legislator’s Sterilization Proposal Opposed by Pro-Life Advocate
Baton Rouge, LA (LifeNews.com) --
Pro-life advocate Dr. Alveda King is reacting to the recent proposal of Louisiana state Rep. John LaBruzzo to offer taxpayer money to poor women and men to be sterilized and to offer tax incentives to higher income people to have more children. “The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, used to say, ‘More children from the fit, less from the unfit,’” King tells LifeNews.com. “A eugenicist to the core, she would have loved this idea of the government bribing poor people into sterilization. Aside from its being reprehensible, though, we have already seen that this type of plan doesn't eliminate poverty.” “For 35 years, we have offered the poor, especially inner city African Americans, abortion as a solution to their poverty,” added Dr. King. “Can anyone seriously claim that aborting one-third of the current African American population has left blacks better off? You can't improve the present by killing the future. Sterilizing the poor is fighting economic poverty with moral bankruptcy.”
