Hillary Clinton Releases Ironic Pro-Abortion Video: “Vote Like Our Lives Depend on It”

Lives do not depend on abortions. Abortions destroy lives.

But abortion activists are twisting words to claim that women need to abort their unborn babies to be healthy and free.

This week, a new pro-abortion campaign ad featuring Hillary Clinton mimicked language from the pro-life movement and claimed that Americans should “vote like our lives depend on it.”

Spectrum News reports the pro-abortion group Eleanor’s Legacy Action Fund released the ad this week in New York state.

Clinton, a pro-abortion Democrat who lost to President Donald Trump in 2016, did not mention abortion in the ad.

“No matter what issue you care about, it’s on the ballot,” Clinton said in the video. “We should be voting like our lives and our rights depend on it, because you know what? They do. Make a plan to vote all the way up and all the way down the ballot.”

While Clinton’s message was general and vague, the goals of Eleanor’s Legacy Action Fund are clear. Its mission is to “recruit, train and fund pro-choice Democratic self-identifying womxn” running for state and local offices in New York, according to its website.

Brette McSweeney, who runs the pro-abortion group, said they hope the ad will increase voter turnout in New York, according to the report.

“When we all vote, we all win. It’s that simple,” she said. “This is the most consequential election of a lifetime. … The Action Fund is working to ensure that every New York voter has the complete and accurate information to know that their vote matters and that they have many options on where, how, and when to vote this year.”

The problem is that to McSweeney and other abortion activists, “we” does not include unique, living human beings inside their mothers’ wombs. Pro-abortion groups advocate for the destruction of unborn babies’ lives in abortions, and the Democratic Party supports their agenda.

Elections are important because lives are at stake. Since 1973 when the U.S. Supreme Court forced states to legalize abortion on demand, 62 million unborn babies have been aborted. Today, about 800,000 unborn babies are aborted every year in the U.S.

The Democratic Party has adopted an increasingly radical stance on abortion. In 2016 and again in 2020, the DNC approved a platform that supports abortions without restriction and taxpayer funding of abortions.

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden supports those same anti-life goals. He recently said he believes in a “woman’s constitutional right to choice under any circumstances.” During the coronavirus shutdowns, he even called elective abortions an “essential medical service.”

In contrast, the Republican Party supports protections for unborn babies. Its platform “affirm[s] that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed.”

President Donald Trump developed a strong pro-life record during his first term. Among other things, he took multiple actions to end taxpayer funding to the nation’s largest abortion chain, Planned Parenthood, and to stop taxpayer funding of scientific research that uses aborted baby body parts.
