Kamala Harris: “We Must Keep Fighting to Defend” Killing Babies in Abortions Up to Birth

Americans are responding with outrage to Kamala Harris’s radical pro-abortion policies.

A U.S. senator from California and Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate, Harris has opposed legislation to protect late-term unborn babies from abortion and newborns from infanticide. Her voting record is 100-percent pro-abortion.

This week, parents raised awareness about one of Harris’s infamous abortion votes by sharing images of their babies, born and unborn, on Twitter, The Federalist reports.

In 2018, Harris was a vocal opponent of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, a bill to prohibit abortions after 20 weeks when strong scientific evidence indicates unborn babies can feel pain.

“We must keep fighting to defend and expand on the progress made for women’s rights and reproductive health, not pass a 20-week abortion ban,” Harris wrote on Twitter at the time.

Her tweet gained renewed attention last week after Harris accepted the Democrat vice presidential nomination. Parents responded with concern and horror at her refusal to grant basic human rights even to late-term unborn babies.

SIGN THE PLEDGE: We Can’t Vote for Pro-Abortion Joe Biden

“This is my baby born 21 wks from conception,” one woman wrote, sharing a photo of her premature daughter. “She’s 2 wks old here. Babies have a heartbeat at 3 wks.”

Another commenter brought up how the most common abortion procedure at 20 weeks involves dismembering the unborn baby by tearing them limb from limb, often while their heart is still beating.

“My daughter is 20 weeks pregnant,” the woman wrote. “She has a belly and her belly button is popping out. She feels her child moving. She has a BABY, fully formed and human inside her. Her baby is 7 inches long and weighs 1/2 pound. How could any human being have a 20 week baby pulled apart!”

“This is a 20 week old baby,” another person wrote, sharing images of an unborn baby playing with its hands and feet. “God help us for what we’ve become.”

Mothers and fathers also shared ultrasound images of their unborn babies. One, sharing the black-and-white ultrasound of her son at 19 weeks and 5 days, wrote: “This is my son! My son is now 21months old and an amazing human being! Stop advocating for murder!”

“Here’s my son at 19 weeks, I started feeling him kick at 18 weeks and heard his heartbeat for the first time at 10 weeks. His life is important. All lives are important,” another mother wrote, sharing an ultrasound image of her son.

Harris’s position is barbaric, and Americans know it. Polls consistently show that most Americans support protections for unborn babies at later stages of pregnancy. By 20 weeks, unborn babies are nearly fully formed and capable of feeling intense pain. They also are very close to viability. The youngest recorded premature baby to survive was born at 21 weeks, zero days gestation in 2019 in Georgia.

In most states, however, unborn babies may be legally aborted for any reason at 20 weeks of pregnancy or later. Some states have no time limits on abortion whatsoever, and abortion facilities in Colorado and New Mexico openly advertise late-term abortions on viable unborn babies in the third trimester.

The United States’ abortion laws are among the worst in the world. The infamous U.S. Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade made the United States one of only seven countries in the world that allows elective abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Biden and Harris support Roe v. Wade and want to expand it. If elected, they said they would “codify” the abortion case into federal law and force taxpayers to directly fund abortions by ending the Hyde Amendment.

Every year, nearly 1 million unborn babies are aborted in America. If Biden and Harris win the White House in November, that number surely will grow.
