If Americans need any more proof that Planned Parenthood does not need our tax dollars, they only have to look to some of the richest, most privileged people in this world.

Over the weekend, Hollywood celebrities joined some of America’s richest men in backing the abortion chain’s new “Bans Off My Body” campaign.

Almost 140 music artists signed a Billboard ad in support of the pro-abortion effort, according to Broadway World. They claim that the pro-life laws that are being passed across the country are “draconian restrictions on reproductive health and freedom.”

These include informed consent laws, laws that protect unborn babies with detectable heartbeats, abortion clinic regulations and laws that require parents to be involved when an underage girl wants an abortion.

The musicians who are fighting against these pro-life protections include Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Beck, Billie Eilish, Bon Iver, John Legend, Nicki Minaj, Demi Lovato, G-Eazy, HAIM, Troye Sivan, Macklemore, Hayley Kiyoko, Megan Thee Stallion, Miley Cyrus, Kacey Musgraves, Carole King, Dua Lipa, Meghan Trainor, LIZZO and others.

“Those who signed are urging their social media followers to take action against these bans, and learn more about the threat to safe, legal abortion access in communities across the country,” according to the report. “Specifically, the artists are asking their supporters to add their name to a national petition calling for an end to the abortion bans, with a goal of collecting half a million signatures by the anniversary of Roe v. Wade in January 2020.”

The abortion chain also plans to push its pro-abortion agenda on concert-goers throughout the country, including at the Made in America in Philadelphia and Music Midtown in Atlanta, the report states.

“This outpouring of support from artists is further evidence that the American people do not support restricting access to safe, legal abortion,” Planned Parenthood claimed.

But Hollywood celebrities do not represent most Americans, and polls clearly show that. State lawmakers, elected by the people, have passed dozens of pro-life laws this year to protect unborn babies and mothers; but Planned Parenthood continuously fights to block them in court, relying on activist judges because it cannot rely on public support.

Most Americans do support strong protections for unborn babies, especially after the first trimester. A new Gallup poll, released in June, found 60 percent of Americans take a pro-life position on abortion, wanting all (21 percent) or almost all (39 percent) abortions made illegal.

February polling data from Marist also found a huge pro-life shift of 17 percent after Democrats defended allowing babies to die in infanticide and legalized abortions for basically any reason up to birth in New York.

Another poll from Harvard CAPS/Harris this spring found that just 6 percent of Americans said abortions should be allowed “up until the birth of the child,” while only 8 percent said they should be permitted up to the third trimester.

Alexis McGill Johnson, acting president and CEO of Planned Parenthood, urged Americans to fight back against bans on abortion – but Planned Parenthood has enough rich, privileged elitists on its side. It does not have the American people and it will not as long as it continues to insist on destroying the lives of babies in the womb for any reason and without restrictions.
