Indiana Senate candidate Mike Braun, who is pro-life, is pulling close to pro-abortion Democrat Senator Joe Donnelly. The senate race in Indiana continues to be razor-thin as a poll released Monday shows Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly up by only one point and well within the margin of error.

As the poll shows:

Donnelly leads his Republican challenger Mike Braun 41 percent to 40 percent, according to a poll of likely voters by SurveyUSA and the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics. Another 8 percent of likely voters prefer the Libertarian candidate Lucy Brenton and the remaining 11 percent are still undecided.

A separate poll conducted internally by the GOP campaign shows Braun ahead of the Democratic incumbent by four points, reported The Washington Examiner. The movement was attributed to the surge of Donnelly’s decision to vote against confirming Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

President Donald Trump won Indiana by a sizable margin during the 2016 presidential election, beating out former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by 19 points.

The SurveyUSA andMike Downs Center for Indiana Politics poll was conducted between Oct. 12 and 16 and consisted of a sample size of 816 likely voters with a 4.6 point margin of error.

Donnelly voted to fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business and was tagged for criticism from pro-life leaders.

“Vulnerable Democratic Senators have betrayed their constituents yet again by voting to fund abortion giant Planned Parenthood, and will be held accountable at the ballot box,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Democrat Senators in states won by President Trump cannot get away with presenting themselves as moderates any longer, and self-proclaimed ‘pro-life’ senators like Donnelly and Manchin should be especially ashamed of caving to the abortion lobby and extremists in their party. They have betrayed their constituents and will be held accountable at the ballot box.”

Meanwhile, National Right to Life endorsed pro-life businessman Mike Braun in Indiana’s U.S. Senate election.

“National Right to Life is pleased to endorse Mike Braun for the U.S. Senate. Mike Braun’s position on life reflects the true values of Indiana’s voters,” said Carol Tobias, National Right to Life president. “Many Indiana voters will be surprised to learn that while Joe Donnelly claims to be pro-life, he has voted pro-life less than one-third of the time over his six-year term.”

Sen. Joe Donnelly (D) consistently votes to give hundreds of millions of dollars of government funds to Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion provider, which performs 900 abortions every day in the United States.

Mike Braun is pro-life and supports legal protection of unborn children. Mike Braun opposes abortion on demand, and he opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion.
