An outraged community in India took the law into its own hands recently when a teacher was accused of raping a student and then giving her pills to abort her unborn baby.
Asian Age reports an angry mob in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, India beat the teacher, stripped him naked and then marched him through the streets of town.
The teacher, identified only as Rambabu, 38, taught English in the town, according to the report. He allegedly sexually abused a Class 10 (high school) student for two years, initially by luring her to meet him alone on the pretext of better grades, the report states.
When the student became pregnant, Rambabu allegedly gave her abortion pills to kill her unborn baby.

The family of the girl found out about the rape and pregnancy when she started bleeding profusely.
They caught hold of the teacher, beat him up, stripped him and paraded him naked to the police station. The video showed two men held the teacher by his arms as they took him to the police station.

“He is a teacher and lured a Class 10 student with a promise of marks and raped her. He made her pregnant. She almost died of bleeding. We shifted her to hospital. Once we found out, we could not spare him,” one of the men was heard saying in the video.
At the police station, the man was given a shirt and a towel to cover himself. He was questioned by the police.
The Daily Mail reports police arrested the teacher after he reportedly admitted to the allegations.
