On Wednesday’s Today show and NBC Nightly News, correspondent Peter Alexander seized on an ad from left-wing pro-abortion group NARAL targeting Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins and demanding that she oppose any of President Trump’s pro-life Supreme Court nominees.

“Still, with new concerns the landmark abortion decision, Roe v. Wade, could be reversed, a top abortion rights group is turning up the heat on senators who could cast critical swing votes on the president’s nominee,” Alexander announced on Today. He then helpfully recited: “This new ad aimed at Maine Republican Susan Collins, reading, ‘Trump has been loud and clear in saying he’d pick Supreme Court justices to end Roe v. Wade. We believe him. Don’t you, Senator Collins?’”

Reporting for NBC Nightly News that evening, Alexander repeated: “Ultimately, the Senate will have to confirm any nominee, with Maine Republican Susan Collins now targeted by new ads from an abortion rights group, trying to guarantee that she’ll block any pick who would overturn Roe v. Wade.”

NBC’s bias stood out, with neither ABC nor CBS’s morning and evening shows devoting any air time to the abortion lobbyist group’s ad campaign.
