On Wednesday night’s Late Show with Stephen Colbert, creepy leftist horror-book writer Stephen King accused Mike Pence of being “creepy.” Not only that, but somehow looking like “the mean doctor on a soap opera” who’s a criminal, like a pimp, or a drug dealer. They know how to make liberals laugh at CBS.

STEPHEN KING: There was something about him, too, about Mike Pence, that’s creepy. And I think it has something to do with the hair. The hair doesn’t look like it has strands. It’s just there. You know, it’s kind of this soap opera- He’s like the mean doctor on a soap opera, the one who sells drugs, you know, or has a prostitution ring from Bulgaria or something. He has that look. He has that look.

COLBERT: It looks like it’s just one piece, his hair looks like it snaps on, like a Lego. [King rolls head back and laughs]

King complained that Pence tweeted too much, and it was “boring,” so “I blocked his ass.”

On Thursday night’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, the NBC host picked up on the thread.

SETH MEYERS: In an interview yesterday, author Stephen King said Vice President Pence is quote, “creepy” and looks like quote, “The mean doctor on a soap opera.” [ Light laughter ] Hey, Stephen King, let me do the jokes, man. [ Light laughter ] You don’t see me trying to scare people with stories about an evil clown [screen image of Meyers talking about Trump] — oh, right, every night. Sorry, every night. [ Laughter ] Totally fair. I take it back, Stephen King.
