Other than in conservative media, little attention has been drawn to Harvey Weinstein and other powerful men accused of sexual abuse and their strong support of women’s so-called “right” to abortion.

On Friday, Weinstein was arrested and charged with rape in New York Criminal Court, less than a year after numerous allegations of sexual misconduct against several women surfaced, the New York Daily News reports.

Weinstein spent some time behind bars Friday before being ordered to wear an electronic tracker, surrender his passport and stay within the borders of New York state and Connecticut, according to the report.

Charges against the disgraced film mogul include rape, criminal sex act, sexual abuse and sexual misconduct involving two women in New York. He continues to deny all charges against him.

The Chicago Tribune reports authorities in California also are investigating Weinstein, so there is the possibility of even more charges in the future.

Though the connection has often been ignored in the mainstream media, Weinstein was a strong advocate of the abortion giant Planned Parenthood, as well as pro-abortion politicians.

Back in 2012, Weinstein hosted an expensive fundraising banquet at his waterfront home in Connecticut, featuring pro-abortion President Barack Obama, the Hartford Courant reports.

“Leading with your heart is the utmost for this president,” Weinstein said that night when he introduced Obama. “Fighting for Planned Parenthood and protecting women’s rights, this president has fought the good fight.”

In 2017, he also attended the abortion giant’s 100th anniversary gala and pledged $100,000 for a piece during the benefit auction, according to ArtNet News. After LifeNews and other outlets reported on the connection, Planned Parenthood tried to distance itself from Weinstein, saying the pledge “went unfulfilled,” according to Breitbart. However, it seems odd that he would attend a charity dinner for Planned Parenthood and not make a donation.

Weinstein was just the first of several prominent, powerful pro-abortion men to be accused of sexual misconduct by numerous women. Former U.S. Sen. Al Franken, who received strong support from Planned Parenthood, former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, a friend of former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards, and celebrity chef Mario Batalli are three others.

While none of the accusations against Weinstein involve abortion, sexual abuse and abortion frequently are connected. Legalized abortion provides a convenient way for sexual abusers to cover up their crimes, and abortion clinics have been caught agreeing to help cover up sexual abuse.

A 2014 study published in PLOS Medicine found that 25 percent of women who had abortions faced some sort of abuse beforehand, either physical, sexual or emotional. Other studies found that as many as 60 percent of women who had abortions felt pressured by a partner or parent to do so.

The early feminists opposed abortion, in part, because they thought it would lead to more exploitation and abuse of women. Now, after more than 40 years of legalized abortion in America, there is strong evidence that powerful, manipulative men are the ones who are backing the push to kill unborn babies.
