So-called comedian Michelle Wolf’s jokes about abortion were so disgusting that even the liberal media booed during last weekend’s White House Correspondents Association dinner. But somebody is coming to her defense. And that somebody is none other than former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards.

Naturally, Richards defended her fellow abortion advocate saying that it’s Michelle Wolf’s job to tell jokes that may not go over well because she’s a comedian. But comedian is obviously in the eye of the beholder.

As LifeNews reported, the backlash against the disgusting performance of comedienne Michelle Wolf is growing.  So much so that even the Washington Post writes that this year’s dinner “should be the last.”

Wolf even joked about abortion.  By the end of evening, few people were laughing.

Many in the room were clearly outraged by Wolf’s two back-to-back jokes about abortion. First, Wolf said, “Mike Pence is also very anti-choice. He thinks abortion is murder. Which, first of all, don’t knock it ’till you try it. And when you do try it, really knock it. You gotta get that baby out of there.”

Groans could be heard as this was said. Wolf followed it up by saying, “I know a lot of you are very anti-abortion. You know, unless it’s the one you got for your secret mistress.”

But Cecile Richards apparently had no problem with the jokes.

Former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards spoke publicly on CNN Tuesday in one of her first public appearances since she stepped down from her previous role.

“What do you think about that?” Camerota asked.

“Well, I mean, she’s a comedian, that was her job,” Richards responded. “This isn’t a topic I make jokes about because of course I see what women face in this country, just to access this care and how much stigma and shame there already is in America.”

“I think she was also making the point that a lot of the folks, male politicians in particular who wail against access to safe and legal abortion, do so until its something that they actually find benefits themselves.”

But even the liberal media couldn’t stomach Wolf’s performance.

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell tweeted this:  “Apology is owed to [Sanders] and others grossly insulted by Michelle Wolf at White House Correspondents Assoc dinner.”

CNN’s Jeff Zeleny called Wolf’s performance “an embarrassment.”

Kyle Cheney of Politico tweeted that Wolf was “unnecessarily cruel.”
