Huge $9 Million Donation for New Abortion Clinics Proves Planned Parenthood Doesn’t Need Our Tax Money

The world’s richest people are keeping the abortion industry alive.

Three of the wealthiest old white men in the world, Warren Buffett, George Soros and Bill Gates, have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood alone.

Yet, the largest abortion group in America continues to claim it needs $500 million of our tax dollars every year to survive.

In late March, a Texas Planned Parenthood affiliate announced yet another huge donation of $9 million to open two new facilities in the state, according to the Christian Post. The donation was anonymous, but only someone with extreme wealth could have given it. Last year, an anonymous family in the mid-west also donated $6.5 million to Planned Parenthood’s Minnesota affiliate.

Here’s more about the huge Texas donation:

The Dallas Morning News reported last week that an anonymous donor gave $9 million to Planned Parenthood to build two clinics in West Texas within the next year. Planned Parenthood didn’t specify the locations of the two sites, when they would be completed, or whether abortions would be performed there. …

The announcement of the large donation to Planned Parenthood took place at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas on March 23 at a fundraising luncheon where Cynthia Nixon of “Sex and the City” fame, who is running as a Democratic candidate for governor in New York, was the keynote speaker.

A separate donation of $800,000 to Planned Parenthood was also announced at the luncheon, which reportedly raised around $1.15 million for the Dallas chapter.

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion chain in America. According to its own annual reports, it aborts about 320,000 unborn babies every year, about one third of all abortions in America.

It also receives about $500 million taxpayer dollars annually. Planned Parenthood claims that money is not used for abortions, but money is fungible. Those tax dollars free up other funds for the abortion group to use to promote and perform abortions.

In the past few years, Planned Parenthood has closed dozens of its rural, non-abortion clinics and opened abortion mega-clinics in major cities, including New Orleans and Washington, D.C. Another is planned for San Francisco.

There is big money behind the abortion industry, but the elite can only do so much. The abortion industry may get its power from the most privileged members of society, but the pro-life movement’s power is in its grassroots base, in everyday people who are fighting for unborn babies and their mothers.
