Planned Parenthood: Force Christian Doctors and Nurses to Perform Abortions

The abortion industry lashed out Monday against newly proposed conscience protections for medical professionals who oppose abortion.

As LifeNews reported, President Donald Trump launched a new division within the Department of Health and Human Services to protect nurses and doctors who don’t want to perform abortions. The division will protect anyone who has a “moral objection” to involvement in an abortion because it kills an unborn child before birth.

HHS recently published these new policies online for public comments. With the deadline for comments coming Tuesday, abortion activists are in a mad dash to collect negative comments while there still is time.

On Monday, Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion business in America, posted a series of comments on social media urging people to oppose the conscience protections.

“The Trump-Pence administration is trying to make it easier for a wide range of institutions and entities, including hospitals, pharmacies, doctors, nurses, even receptionists, to deny patients the critical care they need through a new proposed rule,” the abortion chain claimed.

But “critical care” it is not. What the abortion group really wants is to force doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other medical professionals to abort unborn babies.

In one tweet, the abortion chain used loose, vague words to claim the conscience protections would give doctors and nurses a “license to discriminate” and “block care from patients who need it” — without mentioning abortion.

The National Women’s Law Center, a pro-abortion partner with Planned Parenthood, also claimed: “This rule would allow religion or morality to interfere in the patient-provider relationship. The bottom line is that this rule puts patients dead last.”

Adding punch to its propaganda, the NWLC used a photo with the tweet of a well-known TV character doctor saying, “You get that we hate you, right?”

The new HHS conscience protections actually emphasize care and compassion by returning the medical profession to its most fundamental goal: healing. The new policies put patients first by recognizing what most medical professionals already know: that two patients — a mother and unborn baby – are involved in an abortion, and the very purpose of an abortion is to kill one of those patients.

HHS Acting Secretary Eric Hargan previously said they also protect fundamental American rights of religious freedom and conscience.

Christian doctors and nurses across the country are facing discrimination like never before. There is increasing pressure for Christian medical professionals to not only assist abortions or perform them — but to refer patients to other people who will kill their unborn children if they refuse to do so.

The Obama Administration overturned protections the Bush Administration put in place for religious medical professionals and others who do not want to be involved in or promote abortions. Once President Donald Trump took over the White House, he re-instituted those protections and started a special office at the Department of Health and Human Services to help those medical professionals who feel pressured or forced into assisting with abortions or referring for them.
